At what age should children or teenager accept the legal responsibilities of adult life?

Perhaps, one of the most important issues discussed controversially in both scientific and legal atmospheres is about in which age children should be recognized as a responsible citizen to accept legally. Generally, it seems without any consideration about logical threshold of awareness, all activities will fail to achieve targeted strategies in order to prepare teenagers to live better and then all programmers are at a standstill. The author designed this article by the recognition some criteria to assist readers to comprehend about how to answer the above question.

First and foremost, the level of public awareness and education play a formidable role to prepare them. Legally about their social and individual conducts. As Dewy one said 300 years ago: “The greatest and the only goal of education is making good citizens”. The author’s comprehension and his studies approve that the meaning of making good citizens should prepare them to struggle to read the full acceptance of their functions. Meanwhile, people including men, women, elderly persons, teenagers and even children must learn to respect laws, norms, customs and conventions and also insure to respect fully whatever helps them to play their roles comprehensively and live more conveniently as a good citizen. Therefore, universities, colleges and research centers have impacted on achieving such a robust threshold. Also media including TV shows, newspapers, magazines and etc. has a great capacity to lead people in order to move on a correct path.

The lack of education and some cultural shortcomings have engendered people in restriction of the acceptable level in increasing awareness among teenagers to understand completely their functions or consequences about their live legally in short or long periods. Undoubtedly, the misunderstanding of such an important point interferes with teenagers to be prepared for their current and future lives. They should be justified about their legal and social status with a persuasive, clear and succinct language given them, by authorized officials, irrespective of their genders, religions and some taboos or totems dictated in to them by their parents or other social players. To reach such an achievement, cultural and social infrastructures should be reshaped effectively to strengthen teenagers to be educated well and to struggle persuasively and behave assertively in order to remove some cultural and social obstacles proportionately.

In addition, the legal age is culture bound and interwoven with other social phenomenal factors like their personal differences. It is vastly accepted that the individual and social abilities and capacities are different among sons and girls. Also, everybody is not similar individually and psychologically. It is a grieving result to accept similarity between teenagers. Everybody, person by person, lives in different manners. Naturally, the acceptance of a unite age for all people with such a vast diversity is not fair and just. Meanwhile, to determine the legal age and regulate some criteria to recognize their legal responsibility are fundamental to take different abilities and capacities in to account.

Having cited above point, I strongly believe Om the idea that it is not easy to determine a unite age among societies. The acceptance of legal and cultural assist all of us to consider different necessities to plan a formidable strategy based on realistic and correct criteria about the age recognizing teenager’s legal responsibilities.
