Legal Ramifications of the Business & Human Rights Treaty

Since 2015, each year during the IBA Annual Conference, the Business and Human Rights Committee has organised a breakfast for its members and prospective members. This more intimate event has proved to be a forum for fruitful discussions and developing meaningful connections. With the Annual Conference going virtual, we aim to reproduce the relatively informal atmosphere of the “breakfast roundtable” using a video conferencing software such as Zoom and using some of its features, such as separate discussion rooms and visual backgrounds effects. One guest speaker would shortly introduce a topic and then an officer would moderate the discussion. At the end of the discussion, we may consider, as an additional feature for this breakfast, to have separate virtual meeting rooms so that committee members can catch up.
