Description

With the next International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) Congress destined for Edinburgh next year, Scotland has been in the spotlight for the international arbitration community over the last few years, but what are the advantages of arbitration in Scotland?

Despite being part of the United Kingdom, Scotland has a separate legal system from England and Wales (retained under the Act of Union 1707). However, many laws in the commercial sector apply across the UK. What are the implications for dispute resolution in Scotland?

With arbitration and mediation on the increase in Scotland, what is the view of the Court on these alternatives to litigation?

In this webinar, our speakers will discuss dispute resolution in Scotland, including the Court’s approach to arbitration and mediation, and share expertise on operating in this and other jurisdictions.
