Good Faith Principle in International Trade Contracts Focusing on the 1980 Vienna Convention on the International Sale of Goods

The principle of good faith is reflected in the principle of the seventh Vienna convention of 1980 relating to the international sale Goods as a way of interpreting the convention.

Article 7 of the international convention on the international sale. It seems that the principle of good will as the legal rule of international law is one the main cornerstones of international sales contracts that the absence of those contracts brings with it the risk of invalidity.

The good faith will play a role in various forms of contract. Concerning the good faith status of the contract, there is no theoretical unity between different legal systems.

This distinction appears in Article 7 of the international convention on the international sale of Goods (1980), which is ambiguous and interpretable. In general, it can be said that there is no coherent approach to good faith in concluding a treaty in the convention, and therefore, the Iranian legal system is in line with the Vienna convention.
